Simon Says Dance offers multiple styles of Dance Classes and also Musical Theatre Classes to hundreds of boys and girls in the Edinburgh area. We're renowned in Edinburgh for not just our fantastically fun classes, but for our exciting holiday camps and unforgettable birthday parties too.

Simon Says PERFORM!
It's not just about coming along to do a class with us - oh no! We provide fantastic opportunities for our students to shine, in many different ways.
From our mini end-of-term videos*, to our full-blown formal showcases we hold at a specially chosen venue twice a year, there's an opportunity for your child to perform and express themselves here at Simon Says Dance.
After all, it's important for you as a parent to see just how much our classes develop our students. Not just in terms of dance and performance but in terms of self-confidence and personal development too.

Can beginners join?YES! Our classes are tailored as such to develop students by age group, meaning experience isn't essential. We welcome all abilities, and with the help of our experienced teaching team, we're positive your child will come on leaps and bounds in a very short space of time, regardless if your child has experience in dancing or not. For our 3yrs+ classes, children must be confident to attend without an adult due to capacity reasons in the space where classes take place. |
Can we try a class?YES! We offer a trial session to any new student trying a new style with us. For example, if you're unsure which style your child might like more, book multiple trials then decide which to class to book afterwards - simples! Your child's space is guaranteed until you decide after their trial. Is there a uniform?Depending on the class style, there may be a specific uniform required if your child continues the class after their trial. For the purpose of a trial class, simply ensure the clothing is comfortable and not too loose - a t-shirt, joggers/leggings and trainers is perfect. We currently have an online shop with general merchandise available to buy, including Simon Says Dance t-shirts, bags and jumpers, available for click & collect. |
Can parents watch?To manage space across our venues and to maintain safe operating capacities, parents aren't permitted to wait and watch our classes. That being said, if you wanted to have a peek (for example, it's your child's first time) then we can allow for this. We do carry out regular filming of our classes throughout the year so parents can see what we get up to! |
Do you teach many boys?YES! At Simon Says Dance, we teach over 200 boys each week across ALL styles! We promote inclusivity here and welcome anyone to come and enjoy our classes. It can be daunting for boys to take the leap and try dance but we urge everyone to remember that some of the world's most famous dancers are male - think Diversity dance troupe! |
How do I pay/rebook?We use Class4Kids for class bookings which allows parents to review their bookings online via a nifty online portal. You can pay Online via the portal, in Cash at class or via Bank Transfer. When it comes to a new term, we auto-enrol your child so they have a space in the class, unless you advise us otherwise. Classes must be paid by the date specified by us, which we'll communicate in advance. 14-day notice period applies to auto-enrolment cancellations. |
