Consisting of 6 dance and fitness studios, SSDHQ is a recently renovated studio space in Edinburgh. Located in Longstone, we're just a few miles from the City Centre and Edinburgh Airport.
All 6 studios are fitted with LED lighting, performance mirrors, performance flooring and integral sound-systems. Our studios are known for their style, versatility and cleanliness, making them great spaces for a multitude of different activities.

Studio 1 SPECS - Best for larger groups
- Up to approx. 65 people (or approx. 40 dancers depending on style)
- 127sqm – approx. 13.2m wide x 9.5m
- Ceiling – 2.5m high (away from beams) & 2.3m high (at beams)

- Up to approx. 40 people (or approx. 20 dancers depending on style)

Our studios are primarily the home of Simon Says Dance classes but out with our usual timetable, our studio spaces are available to hire. Previous hires include dance events, dance workshops, courses and training, rehearsals, photography and lots more. SSDHQ also has regular hirers hosting their own offerings on a weekly basis. All studios are empty rooms unless otherwise stated however we do have a range of equipment including: portable ballet barres, gymnast mats, and numerous trestle tables - all items are subject to availability at time of hire.
Complete with a kitchen, staff room, storage, changing rooms, accessible toilet (with baby change) and comfortable waiting room (for use by hall hirers only), SSDHQ is a lovely space to host classes and run events.
SSDHQ does not have a lift and some studios (1/2/3) are up one flight of stairs.

Our usual term-time studio opening hours (excludes Edinburgh school holidays) are:
Mondays - 09:00-12:00 then 16:00 - 20:30
Tuesdays - 16:00 - 20:30
Wednesdays - 09:00-12:00 then 16:00 - 21:15
Thursdays - 16:00 - 20:30
Fridays - 09:00 - 18:15
Saturdays - 09:00 - 12:45
Studio space availability is limited during school term-time and the hours above. We may be able to offer studio hire out-with the times above and during school holidays however this is subject to individual circumstances - please submit an enquiry form below.
