Acro
Acrobatic Arts, more commonly known as 'Acro', is one of the most popular offerings around at the moment.
At SSD, Acro students focus on learning specific acrobatic techniques which are transferrable to other styles of dance, making Acro a complementary style for the likes of Commercial, Ballet, Jazz and much more, developing students into well-rounded dancers. We teach over 200 Acro Dance students each week at SSDHQ in Longstone.
Acro students effortlessly blend emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements whilst developing flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling skills.
We teach Acro from P1+ within a safe & inclusive environment in a studio set up specifically for safe practise. Acro at Simon Says Dance is taught by our certified teaching team.

Those who do Acro Dance are able to implement moves and techniques developed from their classes into other forms of dance to create stunning aerial spectacles.
The enhanced Flexiblity, Strength and Balance gained from our Acro classes also benefits children and young people in their day-to-day lives out with the dance context, maximising overall fitness levels.
Due to the nature of this style, some physical contact may be required for the Teacher to assist in technique development and to ensure moves are carried out safely at the learning stage.
