Ballet at Simon Says Dance
Ballet classes at Simon Says Dance take a focus on movement quality, dynamics, musicality, technique and expression, following elements of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus.
The study of ballet improves posture, general health and coordination whilst allowing the opportunity to express and communication through music and movement. SSD Ballet classes are taught by our widely experienced team, who bring a fresh, modern and fun approach to this traditional style of dance.
Note that Simon Says Dance are not enrolling students for Ballet examinations.
Classes are open to boys and girls aged 3 - 18yrs.

From Tots to Teens
We enrol students from as early as 3yrs of age and have a dedicated programme of class groups, including:
Nursery Ballet (3yrs+)
Nursery Ballet classes are an imaginative and creative ballet class for nursery school children. This class incorporates props, ideas and stories from the children focussing on creativity, expression and enjoyment - ultimately building confidence through dance.
Primary in Dance (P1-3)
Primary Ballet classes introduce focus on movement quality, dynamics, musicality, technique and expression.
Grade 1 - Teen (P4+)
Students from P4+ will focus on increasing their dance vocabulary, combining Classical Ballet Technique (the main aspect to classes) as well as the addition of character and free movement styles. There is a strong focus on movement quality, dynamics, musicality, technique and expression.

Ballet is great fun at SSD!
"My daughter attends a Ballet class on a Wednesday with the lovely Amy, who does a FANTASTIC job at keeping the kids entertained and has built a great relationship with my daughter. Not only is she learning ballet, she is having great fun and I think that is the most important part. Thank you so much for making her smile!"
