TERM BOOKINGS
For reference, our weekly classes run by the Edinburgh school timetable - roughly speaking, an Academic Year looks like:
Aug-October (Autumn Term) - usually around 9 weeks
*break for October school break*
October-December (Winter Term) - usually around 9 weeks
*break for Christmas/New Year*
Jan-Apr (Spring Term) - usually around 12 weeks
*break for February school break mid-term, then break for Easter*
Apr-June (Summer Term) - usually around 10 weeks
*break for Summer holidays*
Note that we automatically enrol existing students to future terms. This means your child is guaranteed a space, unless you advise us otherwise. To cancel an auto-enrolment, we require 14-days notice and any sessions due to take place within your notice period are billable. We do not offer refunds for booking cancellations mid-term.

shows
We believe in giving our students the opportunity to perform. Whether that's in class at one of our mini end-of-term showings (class dependent), internally held Competitions or in a fully rehearsed show on-stage at a specially chosen local venue. Throughout the year, our teachers work on numerous pieces, developing brilliant routines that challenge our students in many different ways.
Every March, our Junior students (those who attend a 40 or 60min class - with the exception of Toddlers & P1-7 Acro) have the opportunity to perform their routines on a stage at an arranged venue. Every October, our Academy students (those who attend any of our Commercial Academy offerings) also have the opportunity to perform their routines on a stage at an arranged venue. See our Save the Dates page for more info.
There is a cost associated with taking part in and spectating our shows, which cover the overheads of running such events for things like costume, venue hire and everything else required to make our magical shows happen. All our shows are recorded by a professional film company too, so the memories can be enjoyed for years to come. Participation fees are payable in January (for Junior Show) and in August/September (for Academy Show) and tickets will become available to buy closer to the event dates - all of which will be communicated in advance.
Separate to our stage performances, we often carry out mini end-of-term showings/videos at class where applicable, so parents can see just how much their child has come on since joining Simon Says Dance.
